Triumph Motorcycle India confirmed earlier that they are bringing the new Street Triple R in the Indian market. Once launched, ‘R’ variant becomes the new base model in the Street Triple line-up.
According to Zigwheels, the company is expected to launch the new motorcycle sometime in the next week. There were also reports of some authorised dealers in the country who have begun to accept bookings for the Street Triple R, unofficially ahead of its launch.
This will be the first time that the Street Triple R will be introduced into the Indian market by the company. It will replace the Street Triple S, which was the entry-level variant in the country for years.
The Street Triple R was the top-spec variant in the company’s line-up for a long time. However, it was changed, when Triumph introduced a new range-topping Triumph Street Triple RS back in 2017.
